VulpShift organises storage tasks on a Mac. It shows disks and volumes, creates file backups, formats external storage and restores data from a prepared backup.
The Backup → Format → Restore workflow guides users through a file system change while keeping a separate backup outside the target device. Before formatting, the app verifies the backup with SHA-256 and requires confirmation of the operation that will erase data.
A separate view writes uncompressed IMG and USB-compatible hybrid ISO images and prepares Windows UEFI installation media. Standard optical ISO and DMG files are not supported for direct writing.
VulpShift is available for free on macOS 12+. Screenshots show an English development version. Windows and Linux versions remain planned.

Open VulpShift — new tabTechnology and implementation
The interface and app logic were built with Flutter and Dart. Our disk_kit package connects the app to macOS disk handling through a native Swift implementation. VulpShift manages operation workflows, backup verification and user messages.
