Custom Laravel web apps

We build apps tailored to business processes. Laravel and PHP handle business logic, while Livewire and Tailwind CSS provide the everyday user interface.

What do we build?

A custom system can support team workflows, customer service or an online product. We define scope based on who will use the app and the tasks they need to complete.

  • B2B systems and customer portals — for information exchange and processes between businesses.
  • Admin panels and internal systems — for data management and everyday work.
  • SaaS apps — developed in stages, from an MVP to further product features.
  • Online tools and stores — with a web interface and management backend.

Interface, data and integrations in one project

PostgreSQL stores application data. APIs connect the web app with mobile apps or external services. We use Redis where caching or queues for background tasks are needed.

In Icons by Fox, Laravel works with a Livewire editor. In ZEiT, the same stack supports a store, admin panel and mobile API. These are two different uses of shared technology.

From MVP to maintenance and further development

We start with priorities and the first version's scope. We design the user journey, implement features and test key scenarios before launch.

Developing an existing Laravel app starts with understanding its code, dependencies, database, integrations and deployment. We also review queues and tests. This informs a gradual change plan and maintenance approach.

When does a custom web app make sense?

A simple website is enough to present services and contact details. Consider an existing SaaS if its processes, integrations and costs fit how your business works. A custom system makes sense when important rules or data flows cannot be handled conveniently by an available product.

Before deciding, identify the constraint: manual data entry, no shared source of information or unusual permissions. We compare building and maintenance costs with adapting an existing solution. Not every problem needs a new app.
